"Looking for legacy": for a sustainable impact of major sports infrastructure

Quel impact les grandes infrastructures sportives peuvent-elles avoir sur un territoire ? C’est la question sur laquelle s’est penchée La Fabrique de la Cité lors du séminaire « Looking for Legacy : for a sustainable impact of major sports infrastructure », le 25 janvier 2012 à Londres.

Cinq interventions ont rythmé les débats et permis de soulever des thèmes clés : accessibilité, viabilité économique, identité territoriale… L’expérience de Londres, qui accueillera les Jeux Olympiques du 27 juillet au 12 août 2012, a permis d’illustrer le rôle structurant des grandes infrastructures sportives sur le territoire. La question du « legacy », c’est-à-dire de l’avenir du Parc Olympique après les Jeux, est au cœur de sa conception : il s’agit d’anticiper les usages des différentes infrastructures sur le long terme, afin qu’elles deviennent les éléments moteurs de l’intégration de l’Est londonien au tissu urbain de la capitale. Un défi qu’il n’est pas aisé de relever, en témoigne l’expérience du Stade de France, 14 ans après.
