Chairman's message

The City Factory is a product of the VINCI Group's desire to supplement its own reflection with the analyses and proposals of experts and decision-makers – public and private – responsible for devising and implementing urban policies.

The 160,000 employees and 2,500 companies making up the VINCI Group in some 90 countries contribute every day to construction, development and management of our cities. From road layout to infrastructure concessions, from construction of urban communities to lighting, the very wide scope of our activity in the city highlights the need for upstream reflection around urban issues.

True, VINCI already invests in research and development and in innovation. True, VINCI already has ideas and explores new trends in urban forms. However, the City Factory aims to go beyond VINCI's own specific expertise to become a hub for cultures and practices, producing concrete reflection and innovative ideas to invent the city of tomorrow, today
