Marie Dégremont, the new Project Director of La Fabrique de la Cité, is an expert in ecological and energy transitions. With a PhD in Political Science from Sciences Po, Marie completed a thesis on the relationship between local governance and energy transitions in France. Moreover, she has served as an advisor to the Haut-commissaire au Plan, François Bayrou (2020-2022) and she spent time working for France Stratégie as a Project Manager in their Sustainable Development Department (2017-2020).

In her time working for the French Ministry of Ecological Transitions and Territorial Cohesion, Marie was able to work under two seperate ministers, Christophe Béchu and Amélie de Montchalin, where she worked as a speechwriter. Her work with Christophe Béchu centered primarily on public engagement and youth, while her work with Amelie de Montchalin focused more on foresight and civil society.

La Fabrique de la Cité

La Fabrique de la Cité is a think tank dedicated to urban foresight, created by the VINCI group, its sponsor, in 2010. La Fabrique de la Cité acts as a forum where urban stakeholders, whether French or international, collaborate to bring forth new ways of building and rebuilding cities.
