All our projects
Five general themes run through our work: mobility, building and planning, energy, behaviors, and digital technologies. These themes give rise to several year-long or multiyear research projects, conducted with different partners and leading to the production of reports, op-eds, expert viewpoints, etc., and to the organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Across cities in crisis
La Fabrique de la Cité wants to play its full role in building the foundation of ideas on which to sustain, build or rebuild urban systems in the era of the first pandemic of the 21st century.
Urban Expedition to Singapore
Singapore has developed an integrated approach of its territory and has associated careful governance to the use of technology in order to address its contemporary and future challenges.
Territories and metropolization
As part of its reflection on the globalized urban dynamics, La Fabrique de la Cité will question the ambivalent and complex relationships between metropolization and territorial restructurings.
With this research project, La Fabrique de la Cité will question the four approaches to the smart city that have emerged in the past decade.
Mobility funding in a post-carbon world
How can we rethink the mobility financing model? Can this transition be used to change travel behaviors?
Large infrastructure projects and democracy
What are the sources of the opposition to large infrastructure and urban planning projects? How can we devise a more democratic way of designing and implementing these projects?
La Fabrique de la Cité
La Fabrique de la Cité is a think tank dedicated to urban foresight, created by the VINCI group, its sponsor, in 2010. La Fabrique de la Cité acts as a forum where urban stakeholders, whether French or international, collaborate to bring forth new ways of building and rebuilding cities.
