Daily mobility, affordable housing, health and cities… urban questions are complex questions, critical to our future. It is on these questions that La Fabrique de la Cité, the urban foresight and innovations think tank, aims to structure the public debate in order to define a shared vision of the city of tomorrow.
Its interdisciplinary approach brings together French and international experts to reflect on best practices in urban development and propose new ways to build and renovate cities. “Our mission is to ensure that all these people meet and talk to each other; by sharing these visions on the city of the future, we aim to build a language and a grammar that may allow new possibilities to emerge,” says Cécile Maisonneuve, president of La Fabrique de la Cité.
An endowment fund with a public service mission, La Fabrique de la Cité was created in 2010 by the VINCI Group, its chief sponsor. “VINCI founded La Fabrique de la Cité to shed light on these great issues, whether it mean thinking about the smart city, mobility, affordable housing, or urban quality of life. This forum on urban foresight and transitions brings forth a singular and generous outlook that nourishes our own projects, but also, more broadly, the reflections of all stakeholders of the cities of today and tomorrow”, explains Xavier Huillard, Chief Executive Officer of VINCI.
