Botanist and tropical agricultural engineer
A botanist and tropical agricultural engineer, Véronique Mure has spent more than 40 years exploring the visible and invisible connections we forge with trees, gardens, and landscapes, from the forest to the heart of cities.
Throughout her career, she has worked with numerous project managers and clients, both public and private, to ground projects in their environment through plant selections tailored to specific sites and addressing current ecological challenges (water conservation, adaptation to climate change, biodiversity, etc.). Whether in her roles as an analyst, consultant, or interpreter, Véronique Mure advocates for giving living organisms their rightful place in gardens and landscapes. It is a conviction she loves to share and pass on, which led her to teach botany at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles’ Marseille campus, as well as at the Université du Temps Libre in Nîmes.
She is the author of several books, including “Évasion botanique” (A Botanical Getaway) in 2021 and, most recently, “Être un arbre dans la ville,”(Being a tree in the city) published by Atelier Baie.
