Since 2009, Jean-Marc Offner heads the a-urba (urban planning agency Bordeaux Métropole Aquitaine). Engineer by training (École Centrale de Lille) and after studying social sciences (Sciences Po), he had a career as a teacher and researcher.Jean-Marc Offner was head of the CNRS Network Research Group, Head of the Planning-Transport and Environment Department of the École des Ponts and Director of the “Techniques-Territoires-Sociétés” Laboratory (LATTS).His work focuses on issues of territorial planning, networked services, mobility, territorial dynamics and metropolitan governance.
