Myriam Merad has been a research director at the CNRS since 2016. She worked for 17 years at the National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (INERIS), where she contributed to research on risk analysis and management. She currently chairs the Scientific Council of the French Association for the Prevention of Natural and Technological Disasters (AFPCNT). She is also a member of the Steering Committee for the Prevention of Major Natural Risks (COPRNM), the executive board of the Institute for Risk Management (IMdR), and the intersectoral committee of the National Delegation for Major Risks (DNRM) in Algeria.
