Regional Development Officer

La Fabrique de la Cité

Vassili CARBONNE

Vassili currently works as a territorial development officer at La Fabrique de la Cité.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Sciences Po Bordeaux and spending an Erasmus year in Granada, where he deepened his interest in urban policy, Vassili enrolled in a dual master’s program in Applied Geoeconomics at Sciences Po Bordeaux and in Urban Development at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá (2023–2025).

His career path has allowed him to apply his skills to serve local governments, first at the Occitanie Region on issues related to higher education and research, then at the Bordeaux Metropolitan Area for the implementation of experimental and territorial innovation programs.

He then completed his end-of-studies internship at Leonard, the Vinci Group’s foresight and innovation platform, where he contributed to the Habitat 2050 initiative and to the development of public, private, and academic communities focused on sustainable cities as part of the Rêve de Scènes Urbaines program.

Passionate about urban transitions and sustainable development issues, Vassili helps shape the discussions led by La Fabrique de la Cité in collaboration with innovative regions to support local governments in transforming the cities of tomorrow.
