The public space gathers all the conditions to become the privileged tool for cities for more health and well-being. However, its planning, complex and subject to different imperatives, can strongly influence this capacity. That is why public space must be conceived as more than just the negative of built space. It must have its own and specific project.
How can cities contribute to the protection and the promotion of health and well-being for their inhabitants? This is a major challenge for their long-term attractiveness.
